VPK Lead Instructor Requirements
Florida Statutes 1002.55 and 1002.63 F.S.
- Implementing the Florida Implementing Florida Standards in Preschool Classrooms: 3 Years Old to Kindergarten SPC3TK
3 Courses Required of any of the following:
- Emergent Literacy for VPK Instructors VPK21
- Language and Vocabulary in the VPK Classroom LVPK21
- Phonological Awareness Development for Preschoolers VIPA21 or PAP21
- Dialogic Reading: Language and Vocabulary Development for Preschoolers DRP
- Book Embedded Vocabulary Instruction: Language and Vocabulary Development for Preschoolers BEP
- Scaffolding and Think, Show, Tell, Talk: Language and Vocabulary Development for Preschoolers STSTTP
- Building a Strong Foundation for Emergent Literacy BSFEL

- Language and Vocabulary in the VPK Classroom LVPK or LVPK21
- Florida Director Credential issued by the Florida Department of Children and Families (DCF)
